A year of training, fifteen minutes at a time

Fifty-two talks, one a week, each with a sign-in sheet that puts fifteen documented minutes on every miner's record. At the end of the year the certificate goes out: MySafetyGuys and Synergy Mine Safety Solutions, twenty dollars a miner.

01 / How the year runs

Fifteen minutes a week, documented, all year

01

Order the year for your crew

Tell us the mine, the part, and how many miners sign the roster. We set the year up and send talk one.

02

Run one talk a week

Each talk is written to finish inside fifteen minutes: the hazard, the standard behind it, and what to do about it.

03

Sign the sheet

The leader marks who was in the room and files the sheet. Fifteen minutes goes against that subject for that miner.

04

We issue the certificate

When the year closes, every miner on the roster gets a certificate for the hours documented. Twenty dollars a certificate.

02 / How the talks think

Six values, four traps, every week

Each talk is pinned to one core value and one of the four human-performance traps that cause most mine injuries — not the machine, the person working around it. Fifteen minutes on the trap is what makes the standard stick.

Core values

  • Safety

No job on this ground is worth a hand, a lung, or a life.

  • Integrity

Do the step when nobody is watching, and write the record straight.

  • Community

We work as a crew. The buddy is the control that catches what one person misses.

  • Helpfulness

Stop for the man who is behind, struggling, or brand new.

  • Communication

Say what you see, out loud, to a named person, while it still matters.

  • Speaking up

Report the hazard the first time — including the one you caused.

The four traps

  • Rushing

Time pressure quietly removes the step that mattered.

  • Frustration

A blocked job turns the wrong tool into the fast tool.

  • Fatigue

Judgment and reaction degrade before the person can feel it.

  • Complacency

The familiar task stops being looked at.

02 / The 52 talks

One full year of subjects, in order

Twelve themes, one talk a week. Fifty-two talks at fifteen minutes each add up to 13 documented hours, against the 8 hours the annual refresher asks for. The margin is there on purpose: skip a talk that does not fit your ground and put your own hazard in its place.

Every talk carries the human-performance side too: the trap that puts a good miner in front of the hazard, the countermeasure that beats it, and the core value to hold — safety, integrity, community, helpfulness, communication, or speaking up.

03 / Documentation

The paper is the point

A talk nobody wrote down did not happen. Each week's fifteen minutes lands in a record on that miner's file, and the year closes with a certificate that carries the hours. Every field 46.9 asks for is on the sheet.

On every sign-in sheet

  • Name of the miner trained
  • Date of the talk
  • Subject of the talk and the minutes delivered
  • Name of the person who led it

What you get at the end of the year

  • Fifty-two sign-in sheets, one per talk
  • A per-miner attendance matrix with hours to date
  • The year’s subject list, numbered 1 to 52
  • A certificate register for the inspector

04 / The certificate

Twenty dollars a miner, at the end of the year

No per-talk fee and nothing to buy up front. You run the year, keep the sheets, and tell us when the roster is ready.

$20

per certificate · invoiced when the year closes

  • One certificate per miner, priced at $20 and invoiced when the year closes.
  • Issued jointly by MySafetyGuys and Synergy Mine Safety Solutions, with the hours and dates printed on the face of it.
  • The year is written to Part 46. If your mine falls under Part 48, tell us and we will quote the Part 48 set.
  • Run the talks on your own schedule — the roster closes when the last talk is logged.

Date certified

Start the year

Send the mine, the part and the number of miners. The preferred date is the day your program year starts — talk one runs that week and every talk after it is dated a week later.

05 / Filing the year

Filing the sheets is its own step

Requesting the materials and filing the finished year are separate jobs, so they live in separate places. Ask for the pack when your year starts; come back here to file the signed sheets as they come in.

  • Enter the miner’s name, then attach the signed sheet for each talk as the year runs.
  • Every sheet is dated and filed against that subject on that miner’s record.
  • When the year closes, the person in charge of safety and health certifies the Part 46 form.

No access code needed to file — the sheets go against the miner's name.

End-of-year upload center

One miner at a time: the name, the talk, and the signed sheet that proves the fifteen minutes.

Upload center · signed sheets by employee

PDF or a photo of the sheet, stored privately. Enter the miner's name first so the sheet files under them.
